Course Description

The course focuses on developing effective strategies and policies through the implementation of information management systems as the only “communication bridge” between people, technology, business needs and organizations.

Target group

Anyone interested to develop effective business strategies by implementing and managing information systems. Professionals needing to implement information systems to automate and integrate business processes to connect the entire organization, including suppliers and customers, in a web-enabled computing environment.

Course aim

The participants will explore and learn to manage the potential effect on business of the most current information systems, the hardware and software involved and how information systems contribute to provide competitive advantage, re-engineer business processes, problem solving, and decision-making. From a managerial viewpoint, participants will learn to operationalize business objectives and strategies by means of information systems and their implementation in the business. From a technological viewpoint, participants will build an understanding of the functional capabilities of information systems and of innovative ways to perform business and gain strategic advantage.
